This season, the St. Albert Farmers’ Market is excited to introduce the Market Bud Program for kids ages 5 to 12 years old. This program is designed to provide a fun opportunity for children to engage in the local food system through conversations with farmers, educational activities, tastings, gardening, exercise classes, arts & crafts, and more!

Each programmed event has no cost and will be monitored and led by our Farmers’ Market staff and local community groups, but parents or guardians must stay and supervise for the full duration of each activity.

  • Cookie in a Jar Mix

  • Story Time

  • Musical Chairs

  • DIY Stress Balls

  • Make Your Own Butter

  • Pip-Cleaner Insects

  • The activities listed above can be expected but may change. One activity per day, changing weekly

MarketBudActivities Include:

Market Buds is a Drop-In Event Every Week

  • Each activity is a first-come-first-serve basis

  • We have a tent set up at Millennium Park behind the market at the entrance by the Legion where each activity will be held

  • There is no cost to participate but supplies are limited so come sooner than later!

Parents or guardians must stay and supervise for the full duration of each activity, please plan accordingly.
